Registration

Q: Are there any locations where I can register and pay in cash?
A: Yes, we have 2 registration partners and you can find them in the below locations:
- Lorna Jane shop on the 1st floor in Town Centre Mall, Jumeirah
- Lorna Jane shop at Dubai Ladies Club, Jumeirah Beach Rd.
Q: Is grodown registration available? How does it work?
A: Yes, grodown registration is available as following:
• Minimum number for a grodown is 3
• Grodowns between 3 and 10 participants can register online
• Grodowns above 10 need to send us an email at Registration.DWR@planbadv.com, so we will process their registration
• Grodowns may register at the locations mentioned above
Q: Can I register on the day of the event for the Dubai Women’s Run?
A: No, your registration, race bib, and timing chip are all non-transferable. For more information, please visit our Rules and Regulations for more information, or email us on Registration.DWR@planbadv.com
Q: What if I register and then become injured or unable to attend the race?
A: Unfortunately, all entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable to other athletes. Requests to postpone registration due to medical conditions and military service will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Any requests received 15 days prior to event date will be considered; all other requests will be denied.
Q: How do I know that my registration has been completed successfully?
A: A confirmation email will be sent to the email you provided in the registration form. If you can’t find the email check your spam / junk folder, if you still cannot find it please send your payment receipt to Registration.DWR@planbadv.com
Q: Do I need to keep my confirmation email?
A: Yes, please keep a copy of your confirmation email, as you will need present it to be able to collect your running kit. Running kit collection will take place on the 15th & 16th of November from 10am-8pm (location to be confirmed via email).
Q: Is it mandatory to check-in and receive my running kit for the event?
A: Yes, the Dubai Women’s Run website is totally safe and secure as per global standards.17

Running kit

Q: Is online registration safe?
A: Yes, it is mandatory to check-in before the day of the race. Check-in will take place on the 15th & 16th November from 10am-8pm (location will be confirmed via email).
Q: What do I need to bring with me to collect my running kit?
A: You must bring your confirmation email and a valid ID with your photograph (e.g. valid passport or driving license with photograph) with you. If your passport is expired or you have an old driving license with no photograph, then please bring another form of photographic ID.
Q: Do I receive my running kit in the mail?
A: No, running kit will not be mailed out. All participants must pick down their kits in person. For special grodowns or clubs with specific needs, please contact us on Registration.DWR@planbadv.com all arrangements MUST be made prior the 10th of November 2017
Q: Can I arrange for someone else to collect for me?
A: Yes, you can nominate someone to collect your running kit for you. The person you nominate must have the following with them when they attend registration:
1. A letter written and signed by you authorizing the person by name to collect your running kit
2. The person collecting your kit must have suitable photographic identification with them and a copy of your ID. If these instructions are not followed, the running number will not be issued.

The Race Day

Q: What time should I arrive at the day of the race?
A: We recommend arriving at 6:00am, as the race will start at 7:00am. We suggest you get to your allocated start at least one hour before the race begins. This will allow time for you to put your baggage bag on the baggage cabins, use the facilities, warm down and take your position in the start pens.
Q: Are children welcome at Dubai Women’s Run?
A: The minimum participation age is 14 years old, however family, friends and children are welcome to enjoy the runner’s village (located next to the race course) which includes kids’ park, fitness activities, food trucks, mini-shops and more.
Q: What happens if I get injured at the event?
A: There will be EMS (Emergency medical services) on site as well as our Volunteer Team, and they will take care of you.
Q: I want to watch the race – what advice can you give me?
A: There will be several good locations around the course to watch the start & finish line.
Q: When and where can I find the race results?
A: Results will be announced 2 hours after the race on DWR website.
Q: How fit do I need to be to participate?
A: All levels are welcome; participants can run, jog or walk. You don’t have to worry about your fitness level.
Q: Additional race course questions?
Most of the questions are addressed on the website but can be summed down by this statement: this is an OPEN RACE COURSE and you will have to obey ALL traffic laws, police/traffic officers, event staff/volunteers at all times – no exceptions!
